MR4RP (Jerry and Mary): Sorry to say, but “See at reduced rate – not every one is an epic”. Can’t even put it at Top of Genre. Great kid actors – check. Ominous bad guys – check. Charming small town setting – check. But —- the (spoiler alert!) Creature was reminiscent of those creature features of the 1950’s. Choppy editing and it was tough to feel actively involved with a (should have been) scary chain of events. See it for what it is – and it’s all about the kids.
