MR4RP (Jerry and Mary): We avoid subtitles, and are generally not big fans of “little French films”. Well, we saw the trailers for Potiche several months ago and thought it looked like fun – so we were glad to see that it was playing at one (only one?!) theater here and had a chance to see it. Our rating – Almost But Not Quite .. (But Top in Genre). Catherine Deneuve is lovely and such a marvelous actress.  See it – the story doesn’t need subtitles, and has everything — it’s funny, sad, you cheer and jeer — and wonder how much has changed in thirty years!
